It was a quite decent week from a progress perspective. Most of my effort has been directed towards The Riven Realm. 

For Book 5, I've been mainly focused on preparing the manuscript for submission to my editor. At this point, the process is largely about integrating feedback from beta readers and making a final pass of textual polish. My goal for the week was to complete the first five chapters, which I successfully achieved.

For Book 6, I'm still in the drafting stage. At this point, it mainly involves working out the initial scenes and balancing the pacing within the book alongside the larger series. At this point, there are a lot of balls in the air (narratively speaking). Based on my target word count, I'm somewhere in the range of 60% complete with the first draft.

Unfortunately, I also had a bit of a production issue. I'd ordered some sample copies of books and found a few things that needed changing. I made the changes, re-uploaded the files, checked the previews and waited nearly a full day before ordering a larger batch for an upcoming event. When they'd arrived, they were all printed with the wrong files.

So that was no fun, but I'm working toward getting it resolved.
