It's been another productive week. I've continued editing Book 5 of The Riven Realm, and I'm very much on track to have this round of edits done by the end of the month. That will leave me July for a final polish before sending it off to my editor in August.

Similarly, I'm still working through the first draft of Book 6! That's also progressing nicely, though it's already clear that I will need a lot of tightening and refinement to balance the narrative and pacing. Still, progress is progress, and I feel like it's coming together well.

I've also made a few updates to the website, including a new newsletter subscription form here and on varkascronicles.com, and a new section on the home page where you can keep up with progress on active projects.

Finally, on Saturday, I had my first live book event, attending the Ottawa Small Press Book Fair as a vendor. It was a great time. I met many interesting people and even sold a few copies of The First of Shadows. I definitely plan to participate in more events in the future!
